The world is changing rapidly, so our democratic systems need to evolve to stay relevant. Democratic renewal is about reimagining how power is shared, how voices are heard, and how decisions are made.

Dem36 is on a 10-year mission to renew South Australian democracy. Our goal is to usher in a renewed state constitution at our state's bicentenary: a constitution that places South Australia at the forefront of democratic innovation, which gives power to the people, and which strengthens our systems of governance and accountability in the face of modern-day challenges.

Over the coming years, our task is to lead a state-wide discussion about democracy, to spark debate, and to hear from South Australians of all stripes: what are your concerns, what are your aspirations, what are your ideas? As we listen, we will continue to draft and redraft our Charter for Democratic Renewal in South Australia, outlining the constitutional reforms that we the people would like implemented.
